DINO-MITE VISIT...
|
Everyone’s favourite purple dinosaur “Barney” is coming to Sheffield’s Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre & Retail Park this coming Saturday, 16th February.
The lovable prehistoric pal has a loyal following that numbers in the millions world wide, so the stage is set for a larger than life free walk about ‘meet and greet’ commencing at 11 a.m. and then at intervals throughout the day.
Acting Centre Manager, Martin Jones, commented, “No one here is doubting the popularity and might of iconic Barney the Dinosaur. He’s one of the biggest stars on the planet, and has been around for the last 20 years – just like our popular and award winning Centre. His hit television shows are now seen in more than 100 countries. He’s encouraged the education of pre school kiddy-winks through his caring and sharing fun attitude to get them learning, dancing, problem solving and aiding them to imagine that anything is possible. Even his tag-line is ‘a helping hand for growing children’ so now we can get to see this superstar live and in person.”
He added, “This is the first in a series of many spectacular up and coming events to celebrate our 20th Anniversary Year here at Crystal Peaks. This’ll give fans, both past and present, an opportunity to party with Barney. It’s also going to be a super-dee-duper, dinosaurus-sized extravaganza, so don’t miss your chance-to-see-us and don’t forget your camera-us!”
• Barney was created in 1987 by Sheryl Leach, a former teacher and mother, Barney has become a staple in pre-schoolers lives, led by phenomenal success on television. Barney & Friends changed the face of children’s television, and the series continues to be one of the top-rated preschool shows on television. The series added its first new dino in 13 years in the Autumn of 2006, when Riff, the 6 year-old Hadrasaur was introduced, bringing with him a new music curriculum.
