LIVE MUSIC SENT HEART’S A FLUTTERING

South Yorkshire’s highly accomplished concert pianist of 25 years Dean Headland gave a rare and romantic in-person appearance and created a resoundingly successful live concert performance in South Sheffield today, 14th February, with over 4 hours of non stop sophisticated special occasion music at popular Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre.

The celebrated virtuosos from Doncaster became the musical accompaniment to the Centre’s St. Valentines Day promotion and help fashion some ‘love amongst the malls’ for shoppers and visitors passing through the Central Atrium. The bow tie and tails wearing melody devotee, played on a beautiful old Weber Baby Grand in his very own exquisite style of jazz, classical and popular fusion - all blended into one and interwoven with warm romantic over tones. Love songs and irresistible movie themes from down the decades captured the desire-d effect and atmosphere of the day.

For one couple and former Westfield School sweethearts, Danielle Wilks from Rawmarsh, Rotherham and boyfriend of 2 years Luke Beadsley thought it was a good time to reminisce. Said Luke, 18, from Waterthorpe, “I love her for what she is …rich! No that’s rubbish; romance is alive and well especially on a day like today, but it sometimes gets off to a bumpy start! I remember having to pluck up the courage to send Danielle a text message to ask if she wanted to go to the pictures – not knowing what was on. So, on our very first date Danielle fell for me – literally - straight to the floor (!) in the cinema foyer and thank goodness she didn’t hurt herself. Then I made a complete mess of it by choosing the movie “Van Helsing” – a very “romantic” first date film about a monster hunter that’s sent to Transylvania to stop Count Dracula who is using Dr. Frankenstein's research and a werewolf for some sinister purpose – yeah, complete with masses of blood and gore. Danielle was terrified. What a great start! It’s a good job we really do love each other and she’s got such a great personality to put up with all my blunders. And what will we be doing tonight? Ahhh …. that would be telling but a candlelit meal is on the cards - Valentines’ Cards of course.”
