QS the High Street fashion and homewares retailer has recently launched a brand new concept in retailing called ‘Store 21’ and Nicola Dickinson from Hackenthorpe is at the forefront of the state-of-the-art Crystal Peaks Shopping Centres’ trail store as Manager.
 It’s one of the very first in the country and one that promises to have an ultra competitive pricing strategy with the creation of an enhanced shopping experience. At this moment, 13 stores are to be opened in quick succession rising to 40 over the coming months, finally to achieve as many as 200 by the end of 2008. Commented ex City School student Nicola, “Store 21 is all about enjoying the feeling of being 21, whether you’re really 18 or 45! We have a fresh point of sale, superior lighting and a whole innovative level of fashion without compromise on price. I’ve been here seven years commencing as Assistant Manager becoming Manager four years ago and I currently look after 18 brilliant members of staff and they and I know, these are very exciting times for us all! I’ve always loved fashion starting a long time ago as a Christmas temp at ‘Chelsea Girl’ in Fargate - which then changed its’ name to River Island. My first full time job came at T. J. Hughes on the High Street near Arundel Gate as Assistant Sales Manager. I moved around every six months so I learnt the ropes on all floors very quickly with one exception, Menswear!” She added, “It’s exhilarating to be in at the beginning. Store 21 offers a unique combination of extraordinary value and practical everyday fashion. There’s even a fantastic new capsule range called Label 21, which change every 6-8 weeks allowing our customers to be up to date with the very latest fashion. And not just women, men too! So you can guess my level of enthusiasm, it’s back to being a 21 year old for me I’m afraid …. again!”
