WORLD CUP FEVER HITS CRYSTAL PEAKS!

Footie-loving visitors to a Sheffield Shopping Centre will never have to miss a World Cup 2006 match ever again!  It’s all thanks to Crystal Peaks management who have created an exclusive ‘football crèche’  on the new West Mall walkway.

Staff have pitched in to transform the unit into a big screen entertainment centre for football hungry ‘away-from-home’ fans to watch the live action as and when it happens.

“We’ve scored an own goal for the community. The World Cup is just fantastic, and I didn’t want anyone to miss a thing.” Remarked Chris Jones, Centre Manager, “We’ve teamed up with our very own specialist retailer Williams Electrical to help set up a sports lounge nicknamed "The Male Crèche" to allow men to watch all the matches on TV for free whilst wives and girlfriends shop. I’m only teasing, because of course women will be highly welcome in the crèche too! It’s set up just opposite Boots and I don’t think you’ll miss the colourful window graphics! There’s approximately 40 seats and plenty of standing room.”

He added, “With the matches being played in Germany the kick-off times are more accessible not like South Korea and Japan 4 years ago - and this time I feel we have a real chance of going all the way. We’ve some cracking players from Paul Robinson in goal to a great attack combination of Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard, Joe Cole and David Beckham  - I think it’s our best chance since ’66. So make sure you soak in all the atmosphere, excitement, cheers and tears, which will unfold right in front of your eyes and ears at Crystal Peaks.”
