NEW SAINSBURYS IS RIGHT UP THEIR STREET!The “wow” factor truly arrived last Thursday (9 th February) to Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre when ‘Soapstar Superstar’ winner and ‘Coronation Street’ actor Richard Fleeshman (aka Craig Harris) overwhelmed thousands of fans with his presence, along with ‘Corrie’ colleague Shobna Gulati, better known to millions as “Sunita Alahan” earlier in the day.
The highly talented guitar and piano playing 16 year-old posed for hundreds of camera-phone photo’s and signed masses of autographs in celebration of the re-launch of Sainsbury’s new 18.1 million pound, 55,000 square feet store, in the lower atrium. “What a day!” Exclaimed Centre Manager, Chris Jones, “ We’ve seen not 1, but 2 of itv’s ‘Soapstar Superstar’ contestants live and in person right here at Crystal Peaks and both arrived with their feet firmly on the ground, totally charming, personable and delighting everyone they met - especially their fans of literally all ages.” “Richard’s already been setting the countries hearts a-fluttering ever since he beat his friend Andrew Whyment in the grand final of the i.t.v. celebrity talent knock out show, with the fabulous winners’ prize of £50,000 going to the Kirsty Howard Charity Appeal which Granada later doubled to £100,000! “
He added, “I think the thousands of fans that voted for him on ‘Soapstar Superstar’ have all turned up in person and are here in Sheffield today – it’s an amazing sight, just a sea of people and a true testament to 2 genuine people who are admired and loved by their devotees.
