‘PEAKS’ BECOMES A FAIRY GODMOTHER

Bibbidi bobbidi boo! Disney’s 12th animated classic “Cinderella” came to life right before Ballifield Primary School’s Larrisa Ward’s eyes last week – all thanks to Sheffield’s Crystal Peaks, the Hallam FM Arena and her very own imaginative prize winning drawing skill set!

The Shopping Centre helped turn a pumpkin into a coach, mice into a team of horses and lizards into footmen by holding an exclusive colouring competition - not only for visitors and shoppers to the Centre to win ten sets of family tickets, but for one lucky winner, Larrisa, plus her friends and family, to gain exclusive access to backstage workings and out of the ordinary passes to meet the stars of this years ice skating spectacular ‘Disney On Ice’. The show was called ‘Princess Classics’ and featured seven magical adventures with seven Disney princesses!

“Dreams do come true.” said Julie Ward, Mum of 9 year-old Larrisa, from her home in Handsworth Grange Road.  “We’ve had a fantastic time. We were swept away by the magic.  Jasmine, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Belle and Snow White were all there too for this enchanting once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

“The Sheffield ice rink turned into a three storey magic castle that revolved and transformed before our very eyes !” she added. “We travelled and soared with Jasmine from Aladdin on her magic carpet ride, swam with ‘The Little Mermaid’ Ariel under the sea looking for her enchanting kingdom, then made more magic to help save Sleeping Beauty from Maleficent evil spells – it was truly fabulous and very sad it came to an end well before the final stroke of midnight. But then being a good Mum I had to get Larrisa home for bed!”
