TK-MAXX, NO T-SHIRTS ...

Staff at Sheffield's Crystal Peaks Retail Park 'TK Maxx' have swapped their work outfits for t-shirts - but not just any, very special fund raising "Comic Relief" charity ones - and what's more, they are available to us all to aid Red Nose Day 2005!

Yes, it's the tenth RND (Red Nose Day) on Friday, March 11th and TK Maxx - the store that has all the top labels everyone loves, for less, are doing their bit - not only with fashion but taking part in crazy antics like 'Mad Hair Day' (5th March), 'Accessorize Day' with moustaches and eyebrows (26th February) and 'Fancy Dress' on the day!

Commented Store Manager, Kay Lawrence Day, "The new RND '05 t-shirt is available exclusively at TK Maxx - coming in both red and white, these truly stylish numbers are a bargain at £9.99 for adult unisex sizes (with at least £5 going to Comic Relief) and £5.99 for child sizes (at least £3 goes to Comic Relief). And this year there’s a fabulous sparkling fashion version too available for the ladies at £12.99 (with at least £6 going to Comic Relief). They have been on sale with us for just a couple of days now and we've already sold 100! It just shows that shoppers in the Crystal Peaks area really do care - and we think that's just fantastic. There's an added bonus too ... because for every £1000 we raise, the company (TK Maxx) will match it. Since its launch 20 years ago Comic Relief has elicited about £337 million for projects in both the UK and abroad and sold over 40 million of those little red noses - I'm not sure we'll do the same in t-shirts but we'll have very good try!
